Kazuto Hayashi : Representative Director and Chairman
Kazuto Hayashi began his career in April 1987 as a salesman with Okasan Securities Co., Ltd., before transferring the next year to Okasan International Ltd. to take advantage of opportunities in Hong Kong. During his time there, he gained important insights relating to differences between Japanese and Hong Kong investing behaviour, built on such knowledge with a move to Vickers Ballas Securities (Hong Kong) Ltd. in August of 1997, and then further deepened his understanding with a move to Yamaichi International (Hong Kong) Ltd. in March 1997. In 1996, Prime Minister Hashimoto announced plans for reforming Japan’s financial market to create a “fair, free, and global market” and to stimulate use of the approximate 10 trillion US$ worth of assets held by individual investors; approximately 50% of which was languishing in bank accounts bearing low rates of interest. Responding to this opportunity, Mr. Hayashi applied for licensing to run a brokerage house, then officially acquired United World Securities International Limited (Hong Kong) in February 2000. There he assumed the role of Director and soon changed his business model to sell Hong Kong and Chinese shares to Japanese investors. By December 2001, business growth had led Mr.Hayashi to establish the brokerage house United World Securities Japan K.K.. in Okinawa; taking advantage of a cost-effective government enterprise zone and a location with direct flight access to both Hong Kong and Tokyo. He then went on to establish an office in Tokyo in March 2002, assuming the role of Representative Director & President. In August 2006 he assumed his current position of Representative Director & Chairman of United World Securities Japan K.K..
